No it's just fact reported by reasonable people. Or are you suggesting that colloidal silver can discriminate between which bacteria it kills?Cannonpointer » 28 Nov 2022, 3:58 pm » wrote: ↑ That's a hazer talking to you. Did they mention it'll turn you blue?
Regarding replacement, I have taken a probiotic that contains 17 different bacteria (most contain a half dozen or so) pressed into a pill form with kiwi, that is designed to fall apart gradually, so it gets past your stomach and acids pretty much intact (that wipe out most products before they escape the stomach), and then distributes steadily along one's intestine while getting its start feeding on the kiwi. Pretty ingenious. However even that concerns me. What if it advantages one strain toward the extinction of another? There are magnificent gut bacteria products available, if that is one's concern.
But even at 17 it unfortunately falls a little short of replacement.
"According to research scientists Justin and Erica Sonnenburg, authors of The Good Gut (2015), the average American adult harbours approximately 1,200 different species of bacteria in his or her gut, species that have evolved in symbiosis with their hosts over thousands of years.
Of course, the modern Western diet and lifestyle means the ‘average American’ is hardly an exemplar of good health, and in recent decades many formerly populous microbes have disappeared to undetectable levels."
I haven't had a reason to risk wiping them out further.
As far as gut bacteria being wiped out in the Western diet of late, one of the ways is Monsanto GMO corn. It it genetically modified to act as an insecticide so it can blow up corn ear worms. They labeled by the captured FDA under the guise that it kills bacteria so no harm would come to humans. Thus the annihilation of gut bacteria with GMO corn is just one of the countless ways that Big Ag and its captured FDA are is killing us.
