I do not believe such cities should come about by force, or that people should be herded into them against their will. But I DO believe that urban corridors can attract millions if they are well managed. I have lived in an urban corridor that was rather badly managed - San Francisco in the late nineties. And even with BAD management, it was a rather lovely way to live. Good mass transit, no need to own a car but every opportunity to rent one if one were needed for some immediate purpose, small independent specialist grocers - a butcher, a green grocer, a dairy, a baker, an irish store, tons of indy coffee houses that served breakfasts and brunches, lots of green space, extremely walkable, everything quite near by - just a joy to live in. Lots of people means lots of opportunities and possibilities. Urban corridors are environmentally friendly. But they are most suitable for young folks, while building careers. They are places to be cycled through, during a particular time of life. I'm sure there are plenty of people who will find them a good place to be born and to die, but most will want more space when they start families. Lotta old *** in san francisco. It suits their needs. I liked living there - but I would never want to raise kids there.
C40 is a candy coated Trojan horse that seems as a good idea on it's surface .....
until you
realize what their real agenda is ....
another C4O test site was Maui....
and it was mysteriously destroyed by wildfires due to supposed mismanagement paving the way for C40 ....
And guess what ...
L.A. is another C40 test site....
and it's being destroyed by wildfires and mismanagement which is also paving the way for it's C40 agenda ....
there is a pattern forming ....
