Oh, and will they ALSO twist your arm to buy a $35,000 Lexus made in Mexico when a US made Taurus (for example) of equal value costs only $28,000? It takes very little to add the necessary equipment to build an auto part in an American facility that's already manufacturing hundreds of other car parts. And that plant in Mexico can still sell their parts to the rest of the world, just not to the US.
Have you forgotten how AMERICAN AUTOMAKERS moved their production to Mexico to take advantage of the lower labor cost? Well, we're not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy! Those savings no longer apply! So how is it ANY different for those same AMERICAN automakers to shift their production once again BACK to the US just as they moved them to Mexico years ago?
Don't you remember hearing about that "great sucking sound" years ago when NAFTA was put in place and tens of millions of jobs went outside the country virtually overnight?
Watch and learn how business owners take immediate action the minute that the Trump tariffs are put into effect.
I think you'll be shocked at how foolish you were to think they wouldn't do so!
the factories are in place and they cost billions of dollars. they are not going to move no where no how. it will be american car buyers who pay the xtra moolah and they will raise prices on cars made in america to equalize cars made in america to cars made in mexico.
