Well the news tends to be more persuasive as of late, with a very large note on 24 hour cable networks. They tend to be wall to wall partisan propaganda. Most of the stuff I read tends to be observances and articles that are aimed directly at power bases in Washington and therefore I find them somewhat reliable. Perhaps you can find a place in a corner of the internet and try to find the information that tends to be missed by some of the more persuasive arguments offered by some news sources. Believe it or not, even Washington gets its news from somewhere and the includes the New York Times traditionally as the "grey lady" or newspaper of record. I don't read that but the audience is somewhat key in how I judge accuracy.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
