I guess the point I was trying to make is that violence has probably gone from reality to fantasy. We have better health outcomes too. Still, I do feel there is something missing despite all these advances. That is probably the reason that people don't believe in anything anymore. End of the Enlightenment?
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
