I think you need to train your mind to follow something other than politics if you feel unhealthy. Obviously, there are probably many Democrats who feel the same way about Republicans. Watch an old Western or some old sitcom you liked on Netflix. Read a book. Politics effecting your mood probably means that you are too emotionally attached. I tend to follow politics in written form because television news makes their pocket money by stocking reactions. I do check the evening news just to keep my media pulse, but I would suggest winding down a little.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
