I think it runs on the principle "if it bleeds it leads". I also think that the bias was probably deeper for Bill Clinton than Biden. They were pretty easy on Obama too. Trump was a hemorrhage of his own making everyday. Still, Trump did do some good things but the legacy is still playing out. Lot of fallout from that presidency.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
