I think that is probably the closest to English the lawyers could make it. What surprised me is that the ballot measure was defeated by a margin larger than the polls say that Kansas citizens oppose the restriction of abortion rights. Apparently, the pro choice crowd was motivated to go to the polls. Kinda like when Trump voters voted beyond their poll numbers in 2016 and 2020. Note that only 50% of eligible voters vote in America. The Democrats might show up in 2022.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
