There might be evidence that Covid 19 was not a zoologic disease from an open market. Some are now turning to a lab leak theory. Unfortunately, we will probably never really know given the secrecy in China. America isn't really out of the woods either since they helped fund the virology lab in Wuhan. Article here. It definitely leads to the conclusion that we need more security from these types of institutions. Of course, that would take more global cooperation.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
