Race is practically meaningless in today's world. Conquering nations have subjugated and adopted people of all races into their causes. Black conservatives have existed for centuries. White progressives are every bit as wrong as their melanin enhanced counterparts. Race means nothing.
I think its more a point of accepting we all have different histories but are all created equal. That's the natural law that the founders fought George III over. The "more perfect union". That's also why more people speak English than Mandarin. Don't just say the British Empire on that one, the amount of speakers is over double that of French and Spanish respectively. There's probably something to America that made it the universal language.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
