Well I am not aware what conservative media is reporting but yes, that is a point to be made. The trade was one of media sympathy trumping the reality of the crimes of Victor Bout. Victor Bout might even procure weapons to fight in Ukraine which is why Putin might have wanted him along with the type of regime that Russia is. The main point is that some conservatives might be unwilling to criticize Bout due to their following of Putin's political beliefs. Again, I get my news from various magazines and CBS news so I am not aware of the commentary on the right currently. Only to make that point when it comes to the trade.
