Now, you may say that we did not "invade" because our military, in a few of those cases, was not present. We used mercs, or we used CIA, or we used irregulars. In other words, you might quibble.
What am I saying, might? It's what you're doing now. You know that we have overthrown multiple governments, creating terrosist movements and setting the conditions for open air slave auctions selling MORE humans than were sold in the subSaharan Diaspora. You know that we staged military invasions of at least three countries that were openly admitted to in the mainstream media.
Russia stages ONE regime change - ONE restoring democracy, and all of a sudden it's a "bad" thing - cuz 21st century.
You know, it didn't suddenly become the 21st century the day that Russia began the liberation of the people enslaved and deprived of human rights and democracy by Ukraine. It was ALREADY the 21st century - and your own **** government has ALREADY invaded 3 nations, overthrown the governments of others, stolen the treasury of others, sent mercs and irregulars into others.
Clean your own **** mess. THEN worry about other countries' messes.
We haven't invaded Ukraine, Syria, Libya (although there was an intervention there under R2P), Yemen, Venezuela, or Mexico. When we did invade Iraq it was met by condemnation even within the United States among others and it wasn't a mission to build empire. Afghanistan has been called the "good war" because we had a large host of nations supporting the mission (which is also the case with Iraq). Ukraine was simply a response by Russia to take territory because Putin didn't like how Ukrainian politics was heading. Did the Ukrainian people want closer ties with the West? Probably and I'm not going to be so naïve to say the West didn't play some sort of role in Ukrainian politics. Guess what, Russia did too. War was not merited in the case of Ukraine given its ultimate motive.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
