I wasn't the one who mentioned global warming. And the 500,000 figure is troop deaths and injuries. Still, I think there is a lot of countries out there who could ,mediate this thing so it doesn't become an Iraq/Iran 8 year stalemate where the bodies keep piling up.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
