Mystery solved - Harvard is doing just fine on social-grading. Just not on recruiting minority white males, who make up only about 20% of the peoplation. .
The problem now is that Asians and women are outperforming white men at colleges in admissions and across the board.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
