I guess I'm targeting that White Evangelical Protest vote when I over generalize with the "Christian" vote. I'm also talking about "values" voters and yes it's an over generalization. People who believe in Jesus Christ have many varying views when it comes to these things. Your OP "Can Democrats win over Christian votes" is a non-starter. It presupposes that there are no Christians who support Democrat candidates. That's wrong.
It also presupposes that those who accept Christ, which is still over 70% of American Citizens, all believe in the same things. So, if Democrats are trying to win over "Christian Votes", I suggest that this demographic is far too diverse to encapsulate. Its like asking "can Democrats win over the White vote?" No political party can be all things to all Christians.
