Well I would walk back my comments and probably agree that "America First{" is somewhat of a philosophy in and of itself. As is nationalism. It doesn't seem to really take hold in my mind to be pleasing to Reagan given he wasn't an isolationist and wanted a role for America in global affairs. Just my opinion though. We can no longer be the world's leader until we correct our own internal problems; problems caused and created by nearly every president and congress since Regan. I would like to think that a young Ronald Regan would see much of the corruption and sickness that brought our nation to the point where Trump's "America First" policies are the right ones for this nation in 2024. I think young Ronnie would be of the same mindset as Donald Trump. He was a practical man with a dream of a better, stronger America. While personalities may differ, I believe their loyalties and vision for American in 2024 and beyond would be quite similar.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
