I think you are probably right about the different world we live in. The primary difference in my opinion is that Reagan wasn't an isolationist. That seems to be balked at by Republicans ever since Trump took over the Republican Party. The movement of putting your nation first is something I tend to shy away from as a globalist. Something like shutting down the border instead of managing "illegal" (and yes the term still is illegal) immigration would be favored policy by Reagan in my opinion . - national debt spiral
- homeless people being neglected in favor of illegal aliens
- corruption in the DOJ and 90% of the U.S. Bureaucracies.
- Wars we cannot afford
- Taxes too high
- Inflation too high
- young people cannot afford homes or places to live
- wage pressure to the downside with all of the illegal aliens
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
