Octane. It's a hydrocarbon that linking 8 carbons in a chain with accompanying hydrogen. Its a liquid at room temperature unlike methane which is one carbon and a gas at room temperature. It is commonly known to be used as auto fuel where it spins motors when it combusts. This combustion process involves O2 or oxygen and heat and gives off carbon dioxide or CO2 in the process. CO2 is a greenhouse gas (although there is still a lot of politics around that) and the result of combustion which is why environmentalists including Al Gore! are trying to move away from it as a fuel source. It's also used in a variety of other chemical processes to make things like plastics.
I could tell you more about the oil curse too but that is more of a developmental economic issue as is the geology of where octane and other hydrocarbons originate.
Hitler killed half of Europe, shot himself, and left a legacy of notoriety not contributing a single thing to society. Just a meme to gaslight (another reference to petro) and demonstrate a hatred for Jews with no philosophical backing. His whole philosophy was the glory of Germany and I could also go into to that but its getting late and I have other things to do.
