Like maiming and crippling. Not limited to just those but maybe you get the idea.
I don't really know what you "get".
You have to figure that out philosophically. At least when you are theorizing about justice itself. It's not really punishment but when to distribute the punishment. There are many forms.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
