I read a article about how great a drummer Ringo was. The author said sure there are better, harder, faster players...BUT without Ringo there never would have been the Beatles. He was the glue they needed to make it all come together.
Some may out sell him BUT there will NEVER EVER be another Jimi Hendrix. Like Dylan, Little Richard* and Elvis he changed the musical landscape.
I bought a new $3,000 stereo...the first thing out of my speakers was Jimi doing All along the watchtower CRANKED UP !
