Alec Baldwin Maintains He Did Not Fire Gun in Fatal 'Rust" Shooting Despite FBI Conclusion

In a recent court filing, Alec Baldwin's lawyer writes: "While the cast and crew were rehearsing a scene for the Western film 'Rust,' a firearm held by Mr. Baldwin discharged a live round that hit Ms. Hutchins and director Joel Souza."

Alec Baldwin continues to claim that he never fired the gun carrying the bullet that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film "Rust." The prosecution....claims in the charging documenta to have photos from set that day which show Baldwin with "his finger on the trigger" and "manipulating the hammer."

"This decision distorts Halyna Hutchins’ tragic death and represents a terrible miscarriage of justice. Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun - or anywhere on the movie set," said Luke Nikas.
