When I was in Korea, my squad leader was a Siagon Doucment MI . He was fluent in Vietnamese and could also speak Korean. He told he went on a mission in Laos as a 11B just for the experience. I asked him so what did you do ? He told me I can't discuss it but let me put it to you this way...l never VOL'r for a mission like that again.
He also mentioned we were in Laos long before the American people knew it.
