We were discussing the Golden Rule, its origins and therefore the Sermon on the Mount. I mentioned the Sermon on the Mount, because this is really the first time where the Golden Rule, as it is known today, was preached. Part of this discussion had to do with who Jesus was speaking to when he delivered it in northern Israel. But, of course you know this.
