So, I like a nice looking gun. Don't get me wrong. But here's something about a perfectly functioning tool with wear marks that I grew to like more.
The Ruger Red Label - I almost bought one of those. I should have bought it!  Proved that Americans can make a really good quality sporting shotgun that was all business. I never quite understood why Ruger discontinued it.  You can still find these for under $1,500.  I don't know if Ruger still supports them, though. Ruger is stingy allowing others to make parts for their guns.
