Ok, I only have experience trying out a friend's M&P that had a red-dot optic. I think it was a decent one, but honestly, I didn't think to ask. We were shooting in daylight conditions, but under a canopy of trees. I had a really hard time finding the damn dot, and couldn't shoot it for ****. So, what is a "decent red dot" optic, and what do you do if you don't see the damn red dot as soon as you grab it to aim?DeezerShoove » Today, 6:20 am » wrote: ↑ That's not how a decent red dot works. Motion activated, it's basically always on when it's in your hand.
Also, mine is a co-witness to the iron sights. Besides, in a self-defense as you described, who aims?
It's point and click . . . gut shot ****. Hopefully.
