In the next couple of years, NATO will end.  Here's why:

• Ukraine will be forbidden from joining NATO
• Turkey will try to enlarge its boundaries deep into Syria.  This will be opposed by the US and Israel.

That will be enough to fracture NATO, and for another North Atlantic coalition to be formed.  The new one won't include Turkey and may leave out some other countries as well.  France may not want to be tied to the US any longer, and Britain will be a real question mark. The Eastern European nations will seek to join an alliance in which the US is a member, because they are sitting ducks without it. 

There you go, boys and girls.  NATO isn't forever.
