I date back to when HF was a total joke too...but they have improved the quality of their gasoline engine driven stuff.
The Predator 212 cc engine in my HF pressure washer and electric generator is very reliable.
Their return policy lets you try the product out at home within a certain time frame and they will honor it.
I just bought their 4 cubic foot electric cement mixer for $414...and it's a good "Home Owner Grade" tool.
Prices aren't what they once were, but they are still pretty decent. Pre-tariffs, I actually put together and purchased a good set of metric and standard ratcheting wrenches off of Ali Express. People can say what they want about "Chinese Qaulity", but wrenches of this quality would cost me 3-5x as much in any store.
If I were a professional mechanic, I'd probably own Snap-On tools, just to let my compatriots know that I am a professional. But, for F-s sake 3 of the same chinese tool will outlast one snap-on. Snap-on is a status thing.
