I don't recall ever punching someone just for entertainment.
I pushed and slapped a few kids just for entertainment - nothing too terrible. Most of the real hitting I did was out of anger. Ran my bicycle into an older kid who thought he could F- with me and broke his foot. Strangled a pencil-neck older neighborhood kid -
we really hated each other. Seemed like we were always fighting. Fights broke out over nothing, really.
Actual fighting is a different category.
btw People who fight "for the fun of it" are mental Troglodytes.
Did I fight for fun? I only instigated it once that I can actually remember. Actually, that didn't feel good - I got no rush from that.
I have a hard time believing that you didn't pick a few fights in your day. Seriously, think back and remember. You did. I just know you did.
When I came across a kid who wanted to fight, I would "play meek" bait the kid and when I got the green light, choke him or pound his face. I remember the surge of adrenaline; the raw brutal power that made me feel like my head was going to explode -
it felt good. I eventually took up boxing and kickboxing where I actually learned how to fight. I also learned there are faster, better, stronger fighters that could punch all the fight right out of me.
I still got that adrenaline rush, though.
