Come on 3x3, which countries can go to war but not involve the US in anyway?  How about

• Myanmar v. Thailand,
• Thailand v. Islam Separatists, 
• Mongolia v. China
• Moldova v. Russia
• Turkey v. Greece

Turkey would decimate Greece - that's not much of a fight.  And, I hate to see Thailand spoiled by Myanmar.
