.357 is generally a bit more powerful than even hotter 10mm loads. But, really, the two rounds are very comparable. Recoil is a bit more manageable in a 10mm auto, and my Stock holds 16 rounds and 1 in the chamber.Squatchman » 08 Apr 2022, 9:06 am » wrote: ↑ I almost pulled the trigger on a Ruger .357 revolver about a month ago. I bought a Desert Eagle 44 mag back around 2000. I hardly ever use it. Not because it's too big and heavy, which it is. .44mag ammo is always outrageously expensive. I did use it to shoot bowling pins and it worked really well for that. Here's the thing - either you are going to handlaod for it, or you'll never shoot it. Just remember that!!!I'm now looking into .44 mag. Expensive but the heart wants what the heart doesn't need.
I have several revolvers. 2 Pythons which I keep more for investment/trade - don't shoot them. But, I do have a super early Dan Wesson .357 - has the exposed barrel nut and the porkchop barrel shroud. I REALLY like that gun. I'd like to find a 2" barrel for it (reasonably priced).I'll always only carry my Glocks for protection but revolvers are.....you know revolvers. Just downright cool.
