Suppose that the US has cracked the coded info sent by the balloon to the Chinese that are operating it. So everything that the balloon detects, US Intel knows. Perhaps they can also relay false messages to the balloon.

It doesn't matter what is in space. it's a information gathering platform in OUR airspace. Shoot the **** down. Period. By your logic we should allow Foreign aircraft of any country that has satellites to fly over our country and gather intel. God are you stupid.
