Of course. But why waste your opportunity to help shape the ballot for your party? For example: in my town, we have three candidates running for the Democratic nomination for the Maine House of Representatives. I have had all three of those candidates stop by my house handing out literature and I have a clear favorite. Why would I give up my opportunity to have a say in getting my candidate on the ballot just to cast a meaningless vote for Nikki Haley?
It's a PRIMARY. If the voter thinks the incumbents are fine, then it's just a vote to make Trump look bad. The lefties in Indy admit it for Christs sake....
