to me it is some asshole on the senate floor talking for hours. and if i am right? whats the purpose of that?
They changed the rules of the filibuster some years ago to where you don't have to do that and it makes your bill have to get 60 votes to pass. Basically it's a tool for the minority to block a bill by not have a simple majority to pass.
