Mosques in the U.S. in 1970
Reliable national counts for 1970 are scarce because systematic surveys didn’t begin until 2000. However, historical research indicates that the number of purpose-built mosques before the 1970s was very small—likely fewer than 200 nationwide. This estimate comes from historians who track early mosque construction, noting that the first purpose‑built mosques appeared only in the early 20th century and remained rare for decades.

Mosques in the U.S. today
Modern surveys give us much clearer numbers:

2020 U.S. Mosque Survey: 2,769 mosques.

Mid‑2020s estimates (Pew + ISNA): roughly 2,900–3,000 mosques.

The Fifth column. The enemy is within. They are mostly disgruntled black Americans.
