I am speaking of heinous crimes like child murder where DNA is conclusive. I would even promise leniency if they gave details of the crime that only they would know to cement the evidence. MANY people in our prisons are wrong place / wrong time cases. Many are just mutts they fed into the system because they needed a usual suspect to take the fall. If not for the good sense and independent thinking of a couple of juries, Rittenhouse and Zimmerman would be among those you wish to kill.
The fact that you believe you would kill them summarily (I have my doubts about that) betrays a trust in our system that I cannot imagine it has earned. AGAIN, this is a system which imprisons men with women. And you trust it to have the right person, every time?
Not to mention, 25% of all the people in prison are Americans, though we are only 5% of the world's population. I tell ya this much. If you shot all of our prisoners, you'd melt a lot of gun barrels.
