I don't think he was trying to justify it. That's a lot of assumption on your part, very typical of what a prejudice leftist would say. Negative Nancy's is what leftists are made out of. Everything is race race race race, where is it, where can I find it, how can I show my morally superior superpowers of knowing people's intentions by my own preconceived notions that have been brainwashed into me by my own political affiliation and group think tactics where everyone must fit into a box and agree or they'll feel the wrath of cancellation, censorship, hate speech directives, name-calling, and suffer the consequences in the name of freedom and democracy.
