you toss out this vague idea and expect everyone else to imagine what it would take to consume human flesh. That is directing people to frame themselves into a caricature you will use against them later.
First off, I would not eat spoiled meat. Second, not likely to kill another human to eat as prey. I am a predator by nature and I understand the natural order of adapting cradle to grave on my own since conceived to decomposed after dead.
I don't hunt for sport or glory, I feed to adapt with time never duplicating results again. I adapt with living as specifically eternally separated in my one time event changing population left living forward now. My brain isn't filled with facts of how people behave pretending life isn't self evident.
Now, humanity has this species on the brink of self extinction and I cannot stop others from making it happen. Now after it begins, and I have no access to another food supply I would dress and package a recent deceased corpse that was killed by others on a rampage of destroying anything they cannot control.
So yes, I will hide in the shadows because the mob mentality doesn't tolerate an honest sole in the mix of everyone pretending nobody knew. I will do everything possible to stay civil with evolving in plain sight.
I will not harm the corrupted souls anymore than another honest sole. But when a body is dead, there is no brain activity to induce intellectual ideas in the organ of the central nervous system that was the nucleus of their body's original fertilized cell.
