Presidents have leaked or shared information with the public that was classified without consulting various agencies. Such information was still treated as classified though now public knowledge.  Not defending that this should be standard practice, just don't think there is any way it can be charged as a crime. Progressives are ignorantly throwing around the treason word.
If national security information deemed harmful by the defense department to The United States was sold or given to a foreign adversary that well might be treason. The fact that the President had declassified the information for no better reason than his authority to declassify would be a weak defense. The question goes to the sensitivity of the information not its  classification, other than the notice of that sensitivity the president had when he recklessly declassified the document.
