Of course the one thing Trump didn't want was the truth. He saw the truth in August, 2020 when after months of dismal polling, with Biden leads outside the margins of error, he made a speech in which he said Biden could not win a fair election. The polls held for Biden all the way to election day. The day before the election Trump met with his campaign staff who told him the outlook was grim. But Trump was ready.
