We all know, except you possibly, that Trump took home and hid from investigators thousands of government documents, many of them highly classified, kept them for a year and a half, none of which belonged to him. It is all government property. That is what "he took home with him". He can claim he declassified
the documents without ever mentioning it to anyone or going through the recognized process for declassification by a president. That will be a question for the court that tries him. There is, however, no question he took, hid and lied about the documents.
