Notice what he DOESN'T brag about... steady work, raising a family. He thinks attending rock concerts is CV material. No way this mook isn't a subsaharan nignog. Jailhouse stories and wolfing - that's what you can expect from eggplants.
The worst part was the competition &
deadlines & conflicting plans & specifications that would drive job costs to great variances & last minute addenda that would cause all-nighters of intense quantity & pricing conflicts & work & stress. Hard on the knees! If you sit too long, it will hurt your knees. And if errors are made, it can put a contractor out of business, & if not low bid, all that work was nothing.
Fortunately I was good at paying attention to detail. I never had a job lose money, & my success rate at getting big jobs with high profits was above average, especially big patch jobs that most estimators over price from lacking the perseverance to only measure & count what is actually shown & not just "ball park" it which results in over bidding from not being sure of the actual quantities. I did it the hard way, but I did it.
