The parents should have a say, but not have control of what is being taught. That is what the school board is for. Things like the Bible and posters with "In God We Trust" have no place in a secular public school. Parents having control of what the schools teach, lowers the level of education to the lowest common denominator. Too many parents are reality challenged, as they can only see their beliefs as valid, no matter how off the wall they are.
