My view is that since the formation of the UN, the goal was to eliminate territorial conquest by force, the reason for most Wars.
Russia has attempted to annex territorial land next to them by force.
Which if left unchecked, would invite China to annex Taiwan, North Korea to annex South Korea, and ...
