Instead of focusing on sex...which is degenerate and stupid...perhaps you should ponder the cause and effect to society? To biology?

societies where one alpha marries like 20 women always wind up being quite savage and warlike. After all you get a huge amount of 'rogue males' who have **** lives and not much to live for. 

Also...it reduces the possibility of specialization. If the last good mathematician in the town fails to marry...then are you going to be able to find a new one?

This is an excellent point.  Probably the MOST important argument for banning Polygamy.   If the Alpha Male has 20 wives, then there are 19 Lesser Males that are wifeless, no children, and restless.
People have pointed this out as a factor in the Turbulence of the Middle East, the islamic practice of Polygamy.
