This level of weakness and helplessness with young American men has always been exceedingly rare until the Nintendo Baby Generation came of age and got forced from the safety of Mommy's living room into the real world.
I made a trip to Canada in early 2025. A 60-75 something yr old man (who attended the local Presyb church) said when he was in his teens, the orchards and woods in almost all of Vancouver were absolut3ly massive. It was clearly designed to get people to play outside.
Even grown men in their 30s and 40s would show up to their friends' houses and ask to go to the bar or local stadium or whatever.
With sprawling suburbs designed to keep people "safe," there is not much incentive to go outside anymore. Not to mention the rising rates of AUTISM / ADHD (which I'm sure the THFCs know the real reason for, but refuse to disclose) make the Nintendo babies perfectly suited to dicking around with a controller and screen for hours.
(And don't forget the helicopter parenting - "My kids are going to get kidnapped, so they have to stay home")
