Boomer parents who provide financial assistance to their grown children give an average of $1,474 per month. While exactly half of all parents with adult children provide regular financial help, the amount changes drastically depending on the age group of the kids.

Monthly Support by GenerationGen Z adult children (ages 18–28): Parents give an average of $1,813 monthly.

Millennial adult children: Parents give an average of $863 monthly.

My Millennial Step- Daughter has managed on her own, guess we did something right.
I am not party to the "blame Boomers indiscriminately" Club (although I make fun of their narcissism often)...but you have to admit when the only Bachelor Degrees left that produce an underemployment + unemployment rate below 20% are Education, Nursing, and Civil / Aerospace Engineering, something is seriously wrong at the systemic level and the whole Ponzi is going to collapse.

Keep in mind all of those occupations and hiring organizations are reliant on govt funding as well (schools, hospitals and clinics, defense contractors for aerospace and infrastructure contractors for civil)

Plug this into your AI and let it tell you what it means

Note I specifically included the underemployment rate as well because a case where someone who wasted 4 yrs and $70K of money to get a degree that doesn't produce $100K/yr in taxable income after maybe 2-3 years is a serious misallocation of societal resources.

Arguing whether these people are "lazy" or not at that point sounds like JoO-ish propaganda and gaslighting.
