American natives came to this continent just like we Whites, only sooner. Furthermore they are not red. There is no such thing as a Red race. When a certain group of Europeans arrived in eastern Connecticut long ago it was in the summer time. The natives had the habit of rubbing red clay on their exposed skin to protect form biting insects. From that time on they were called red men.
