I do NOT misrepresent the part of the country that I live in. You were in the south. I was not. I was in new England where there was no Jim Crow except for night clubs and various social events where blacks wanted to stick together. There were blacks in my school. But remember too that in those times it was about much more than white on black. The Irish, the Italians, the Germans and others, while all being white, tended to mistrust each other.
