In my middle eighties now. I was alifelong democrat. I voted for JFK my first time. Everything was sort of OK for a long time. Oh sure we had big business promoting wars so they could sell war toys and all that. That's not really a party thing. It happens all the time. But something did happen to the democrat party. When the globalists' power grew to the point where their existence was obvious the US democrats began joining with them policy wise. This continued to the point where I no longer recognized my lifelong party. More recently the woke phenomena came along and the gender confusion? None of those issues whould be of concern in politics.
Lately we find people wanting special rights for groups of citizens. The gays want mroe rights. Gender benders what this or that. But I say all of these people already enjoy the exact same rights that we all have, courtesy of the Constition and the Bill of Rights. They are perfectly adequate. No one group should have any special privilege.
Abortion? Abortion rights? I, personally, am against abortion except for valid medical reasons but I am not about to try to force my views on others. I say everyone should have freedom of choice in this very serious area of life. The troubleis though that I do not believe our federal government should be involved. No. I agree with the reversal of Roe VS Wade simply because I believe the States should have the authority.
I have always been a moderate democrat. I believe the States should have much more authority than they presently do. The federal government should concerrn itself with our country's global, political questions and very few internal ones.
I voted for Obama twice but since then I've seen the democrat party move further to the left than I care to go. This time, this next election, I'm voting for Kennedy. He is a real democrat, one who is not afraid to stand against the quest for global power that is so strong in our world today.
I suppose I'm going to catch hell for expressing my opinion. Oh... one more thing. Racism. It does exist to an extend inside of each of us. There are no official, national policies that are meant to be racist though. I remember the America of the 1950s. I was a teen then in high school. I remember damned well what blacks had to put up with. All of that is gone now. Those who claim America is tainted by "institutional racism" do not know what they are talking about. In the late 1960s all that was dealth a death blow. Does racism exist today? Sure but it's inside of each of us, not the government. I'm glad it's gone but one more thing. Reverse racism is just as bad as the original, anti minority, kind. Those actions that harm whites now are just as bad as those older ones that harmed blacks and Jews long ago. Again though... it iswe who harbor these kinds of things. No legislation or orders can make them go away if we hold them close.
I myself sometimes have anti black tendencies. When I hear an angry black using foul language (bitches. mother ****... etc) I react by wanting to be as far from that person as possible. I will never accept that kind of crude, uncivilized speech when I have the power to avoid it. This is the extent of my racist tendancies. Each of us has to fight our own demons. Life is not supposed to be easy. If it were we would never learn anything.
