I hate her guts, but she made a good point. But DEI and quotas are racist.

'This is some tea, Joy!' MSNBC host issues vicious clapback on GOP's 'DEI hire' attacks

MSNBC host Joy Reid delivered a scathing verbal takedown of Republican attacks on Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris being a “DEI hire,” by calling out the real reason Donald Trump was elected president during a Wednesday night panel.Reid began by explaining that the “DEI” diss “reveals an ugly truth,” broadly held by right-wingers slinging the attacks, “that white men, when they have a job they deserve it, and anyone but a white man was a DEI hire – meaning it was handed to them without deserving it.”
Former Republican President George W. Bush, Reid explained, “became president because his father was president,” and that Former Democratic President John F. Kennedy’s “political rise was because his father paid for it” — by bankrolling a film to boost his popularity.“Donald Trump became president because he was on 'The Apprentice,'” Reid said.“This is some tea, Joy!” responded panelist Symone Sanders-Townsend. "This tea is hot!"Reid went on to explain that prior to gaining the Democratic presidential nomination, Harris held jobs that were impossible to get through a handout: She won election to serve as attorney general in the largest state in the nation before going on to win a Senate seat.
She couldn't possibly be handed the jobs that she had because she had to earn not a few votes, but millions of votes,” Reid said. “She didn't get elected senator in Wyoming where there are more cows than human beings.”“She was selected vice president as one of the most qualified people to take that office,” Reid continued. “ Much more so than Dan Quayle– I don't even remember what he did to become vice president.”
She needs to stop culturally appropriatin' white women's hair...
